At Vauxmart, we are committed to providing a seamless, safe, and efficient delivery experience for all our users, including buyers, sellers, and delivery partners. This Shipping & Logistics Policy details the rules, standards, and responsibilities that govern the shipping and delivery processes on the Vauxmart platform. By engaging with Vauxmart as a buyer, seller, or delivery agent, you acknowledge and agree to adhere to the terms outlined in this policy.


  1. General Principles

All deliveries facilitated through Vauxmart must comply with this policy, along with all relevant laws and community standards. Our platform fosters a community-driven delivery ecosystem that empowers both individual delivery agents and registered logistics companies to fulfill orders effectively. It is essential that delivery operations prioritize safety, timeliness, professionalism, and accountability to ensure the best experience for all parties involved.


  1. Shipping Methods

Vauxmart supports the following delivery models to accommodate various needs and preferences:

  • Vauxmart Community Delivery Network (CDN): This network includes independent riders and logistics companies that are registered and approved on the Vauxmart platform, offering flexibility and localized service.
  • Seller-Managed Shipping: In this model, sellers take the initiative to arrange their own delivery methods outside of the CDN, maintaining control over the shipping process.
  • Pickup Option: Where enabled, buyers have the option to collect their orders directly from the seller, allowing for immediate receipt of goods and enhancing convenience.
 
  1. Responsibilities

a) Sellers

  • Sellers must accurately package and label products to ensure safe transportation and to minimize the risk of product damage during delivery.
  • Products must be prepared for pickup within the timeframe specified in their store policies, providing clarity to buyers.
  • Sellers are responsible for verifying that all items handed over for delivery comply with Vauxmart’s Prohibited & Restricted Products Policy to avoid legal issues and ensure safety.
  • Accurate pickup and delivery details, including any specific instructions, must be provided to facilitate a smooth delivery process.
 

b) Delivery Agents (Individuals & Companies)

  • Delivery agents are required to be properly registered and approved on the Vauxmart platform, providing valid identification, vehicle documents, and, if applicable, a company license.
  • They must maintain professionalism at all times, including courteous interaction with customers and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Delivery agents are strictly prohibited from opening, tampering with, or misusing goods during delivery, as this compromises the integrity of the service.
  • Items must be delivered in the same condition as they were received, and agents must adhere to agreed-upon delivery timelines for each order.
  • Delivery agents assume responsibility for any loss, theft, or damage caused by negligence during the delivery process.
  • Agents must agree to Vauxmart’s penalty system, which addresses misconduct, delivery delays, or fraudulent activities to uphold the community’s standards.
 

c) Buyers

  • Buyers must provide accurate delivery addresses and contact information to avoid delays or complications during the delivery process.
  • Buyers should be available to receive deliveries within the agreed timeframe to ensure successful order completion.
  • In instances where buyers are unavailable at the time of delivery, they may be subject to re-delivery fees, as per Vauxmart’s policies.
 

d) Vauxmart

  • Vauxmart provides the platform for coordinating all shipping logistics, offering features like order tracking and communication tools to enhance user experience.
  • We facilitate dispute resolution processes to address any issues that may arise between buyers, sellers, or delivery agents.
  • While we oversee the logistics quality assurance system, Vauxmart is not a direct courier service and therefore does not engage in the physical delivery of goods.
 
  1. Delivery Timelines

  • Standard Delivery: Typically, deliveries will be completed within 1–5 business days, depending on the seller’s location and the buyer’s address.
  • Same-Day/Express Delivery: This option is available in select cities, allowing customers to receive their orders more quickly.
  • International Delivery: Timelines for international shipments depend on customs regulations and carrier policies. Delivery agents are required to strictly adhere to the delivery timelines communicated to buyers to maintain trust.
 
  1. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated during the checkout process based on the weight, dimensions, and delivery location of the order. Sellers may opt to offer free shipping based on their business strategies or promotional activities. Rates for community delivery agents are determined by Vauxmart’s pricing framework and the prevailing market conditions to ensure fairness and competitiveness.


  1. Liability & Risk

Risk transfers to the buyer upon successful delivery, which is confirmed through the buyer’s acknowledgment or proof of delivery. Delivery agents are held liable for:

  • Any lost, stolen, or damaged goods in their custody, unless such circumstances arise from force majeure (e.g., natural disasters).
  • Deliberate misconduct or negligence that affects the delivery process.

Sellers are responsible for ensuring that all products shipped are correct and in good condition. In the event of disputes, Vauxmart reserves the right to compensate buyers and subsequently recover costs from the responsible party (either the seller or the delivery agent).


  1. Prohibited Conduct for Delivery Agents

Delivery agents are strictly prohibited from:

  • Delivering prohibited or restricted products as outlined by Vauxmart’s policies.
  • Demanding payments outside of the Vauxmart payment system, which ensures transparency and security for all transactions.
  • Misusing customer data, including addresses and contact numbers, for any purpose other than legitimate delivery needs.
  • Engaging in theft, fraud, or tampering with any orders during the delivery process.
  • Using unsafe or unfit vehicles that could pose a risk during transportation.

Violations of these rules may result in:

  • Suspension or permanent removal from the Community Delivery Network.
  • Forfeiture of pending payments to ensure accountability.
  • Legal action where applicable, to uphold the integrity of the platform.
 
  1. Insurance & Protection

Vauxmart may offer optional delivery protection insurance to cover high-value shipments, providing peace of mind to buyers and sellers alike. Delivery agents are encouraged to obtain their own personal or company insurance coverage to protect against any unforeseen incidents during the delivery process.


  1. Dispute Resolution

Buyers can report issues such as late, missing, or damaged deliveries directly through the Vauxmart app. The Vauxmart team will actively investigate and mediate disputes among the buyer, seller, and delivery agent. Potential resolutions may include refunds, re-deliveries, or penalties for agents or sellers found to be at fault.


  1. Changes to Policy

Vauxmart maintains the right to update this Shipping & Logistics Policy at any time as needed. Significant changes that could impact users will be communicated promptly through email notifications or in-app announcements to ensure everyone remains informed.
