As a vital member of the Vauxmart Delivery Agent team, your role is crucial in facilitating seamless connections between sellers and buyers. To ensure our marketplace remains safe, reliable, and trustworthy, all delivery agents are required to adhere to this comprehensive Code of Conduct. By registering and accepting delivery assignments, you agree to uphold these standards.
- Professionalism
Your conduct directly reflects the Vauxmart brand.
- Positive Interaction: Always approach buyers and sellers with politeness, respect, and courtesy. This fosters a friendly atmosphere and encourages repeat business.
- Dress Code: Wear clean, presentable clothing while on duty. A professional appearance instills confidence in your ability to deliver services.
- Communication: Utilize professional language in all forms of communication, whether verbal or written. Clear and respectful dialogue establishes trust and clarity.
- Zero Tolerance for Misconduct: Harassment, threats, or any form of abusive behavior is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated.
- Safety First
Your safety and the safety of others is paramount.
- Traffic Laws: Always obey traffic regulations and drive attentively. Prioritize the safety of yourself, other road users, and pedestrians.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Keep your vehicle in good working condition to avoid breakdowns and ensure the safe transport of packages. Regularly check your tire pressure, brakes, and lights.
- Package Security: Ensure all packages are securely fastened in your vehicle to prevent damage or mishaps during transit.
- Reckless Driving: Reckless driving behaviors such as speeding, tailgating, or driving under the influence are strictly forbidden and may result in severe repercussions.
- Handling Packages
Integrity in package delivery is essential.
- Delivery Condition: Always deliver items in the same condition as they were received. Inspect packages for any obvious signs of damage before transport.
- Verification of Details: Double-check delivery addresses and instructions before departing to avoid unnecessary delays.
- Recipient Confirmation: Ensure you obtain confirmation of delivery through the Vauxmart app using either a digital signature, a one-time password (OTP), or a photo proof, as appropriate.
- Respect for Packages: Never open, tamper with, or misuse any packages entrusted to you, as this violates the trust placed in you by Vauxmart and its customers.
- Reliability
Being dependable is key to customer satisfaction.
- Timeliness: Aim to adhere strictly to the agreed-upon delivery schedule. Timely deliveries enhance customer satisfaction and improve the Vauxmart reputation.
- Acceptance of Deliveries: Only accept delivery requests that you are fully prepared and able to complete. Avoid overcommitting.
- Communication is Critical: If you encounter delays due to traffic issues, incorrect addresses, or other unforeseen circumstances, promptly communicate these challenges to both Vauxmart and the customer.
- No Abandoning Deliveries: Once a delivery has been accepted, do not abandon it under any circumstances without notifying Vauxmart Support.
- Payments & Charges
Transparency in payment processes is vital.
- Use Official Channels: All payments must be processed through the Vauxmart platform to ensure security and accountability. Avoid any transactions outside this method.
- Optional Tips: Tips from customers are voluntary and should never be expected or demanded. Appreciate any gratuity received as a gesture of appreciation.
- No Unauthorized Charges: Absolutely do not solicit extra cash or impose unexpected charges outside of the agreed-upon fees within the app.
- Respect for Customer Privacy
Protecting customer information is a responsibility.
- Use of Customer Information: Utilize customer details (e.g., addresses, phone numbers) solely for the purpose of fulfilling delivery requests.
- Confidentiality: Never misuse, save for later use, or share customer information with unauthorized parties. Violating this trust can compromise customer relationships and your standing with Vauxmart.
- Prohibited Deliveries
Strict adherence to laws is mandatory.
- Goods Not Accepted: You must never accept or transport illegal items, including but not limited to drugs, weapons, counterfeit products, dangerous substances (flammables, explosives, poisons), or adult materials.
- Report Concerns: If you suspect that a package could be unsafe or illegal, it is your responsibility to report the situation to Vauxmart Support without delay.
- Consequences of Misconduct
Understanding and adhering to the Code of Conduct is crucial.
Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in various consequences, including:
- Warnings or Temporary Suspensions: Repeated violations may lead to warnings or temporary removal from the platform.
- Permanent Removal: Serious breaches of conduct may result in permanent removal from the Vauxmart delivery network.
- Forfeit of Earnings: Any unpaid earnings may be forfeited as a result of misconduct.
- Legal Action: In extreme cases, legal action may be pursued where applicable.
